A drive just to the right of the left fairway bunkers is right where you want to be. However, it is not smart to flirt with the left side. For the shorter player, straight ahead is a good aiming point. From the fairway, par is not a hard score, which is why landing in the fairway is imperative. A good idea is to forget about the pin--just aim for the middle of the green. Otherwise, you risk going short into the sand pit or long over the back; neither of those places are very inviting.
